Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer - SPG Organization (Semiconductor)

Location: Hsinchu or Taichung, Taiwan. Full-time position with approximately 25% travel. Relocation is not available.

Materials engineering company designing, building, and servicing equipment used to manufacture semiconductor and display chips.

What you will do

• Provide advanced technical support for equipment used in application and reliability laboratories.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex equipment and process issues, including high-value problems.
• Coordinate between customers, field teams, engineering, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support equipment diagnosis, repair, debugging, new product introductions, beta sites, installation, calibration, and testing.
• Analyze uptime, MTBF, availability, and other system performance metrics to identify trends and improve products and processes.
• Develop technical documentation, share best practices, and present findings and recommendations to engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, or problem diagnosis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and collaborate across teams.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Must be able to work in Taiwan; relocation support is not available.
