What you will do
- Analyze technical problems, gather diagnostic information, decide on an initial approach, and execute solutions while consulting others when needed.
- Hand over problems or problem aspects to 2nd line support and document/package all data for resolution (e.g., pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, technical reports).
- Install equipment at customer locations, including unloading components, inspecting for damage, assembling, aligning, and testing.
- Execute hardware installation and system setup/recovery for upgrade packages; support locally owned field swaps following an up-to-date plan and sequence.
- Run procedures by arranging parts, tools, equipment, and knowledge based on customer machine time windows.
- Optimize processes by reporting gaps and improvement opportunities; train customers/users and coach less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Experienced UIR Engineer with a BSc degree in a relevant technical field (Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Technical industry experience required; semiconductor industry experience preferred.
- Ability to accommodate various work settings, locations, and collaboration with different colleagues.
- Experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
- Legally authorized to access controlled technology under the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.) prior to beginning work.
