Customer Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Hsinchu, Kaohsiung, Linkou, Taichung, or Tainan, Taiwan. Relocation is not eligible. Travel is required, with the posting specifying 25% to 75% travel.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
• Perform Tier I service activities independently and Tier II activities with support from senior engineers.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Diagnose recurring technical, process, software, and hardware problems using documentation, test equipment, and digital analytics.
• Respond to fab issues, participate in escalation calls, and coordinate technical support plans with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Follow procedures, schematics, intellectual property guidelines, and safety requirements while working to improve uptime and reduce costs.

Requirements

• 2026 graduating student or recent graduate; no prior industry experience is required.
• Fundamental engineering knowledge and basic ability to read circuit diagrams.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, documentation, and test equipment for troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in cleanroom environments, including prolonged standing and walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, working in tight spaces, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment and work in environments with noise and exposure to cleanroom safety procedures.
• Ability to distinguish colors and consistently follow safety procedures.
