Platform Engineer (AI): Build and maintain internal platforms and developer tooling to enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery with an accent on AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-first software engineering. Focus on designing self-serve developer experiences, infrastructure automation, observability, security, and scaling challenges for an AI-native mortgage platform.
Location: Remote within the United States
Salary: $170,000–$300,000

What you will do
- Design and build systems enabling frequent, confident deployments including CI/CD pipelines and ephemeral environments.
- Create self-serve developer tooling, templates, and automation to improve engineering velocity and security.
- Develop AI-first software engineering tooling and frameworks for autonomous code changes and self-optimizing product experiences.
- Maintain and evolve AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Pulumi Cloud as a product for engineering teams.
- Build observability and self-healing platform features with Datadog, CloudWatch, and alerting systems.
- Drive reliability through SLOs, auto-scaling, incident response, and performance tuning of data platforms like Aurora PostgreSQL.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in the United States to work remotely
- Strong TypeScript skills and experience building internal developer platforms and tooling.
- Deep AWS expertise including ECS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, RDS, and related services.
- Proficiency with Terraform and/or Pulumi for infrastructure as code.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD systems for large engineering teams.
- Security-first mindset with experience enforcing best practices across infrastructure and tooling.
