Agent Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: SF Bay Area; primarily in-person in San Francisco

Salary: $180K–$500K plus equity

What you will do

• Build infrastructure for long-running agent execution, memory, planning, and stop-and-resume workflows.
• Create secure, isolated environments where AI agents can implement features, run tests, analyze traces, and improve outputs.
• Develop tracing, observability, evaluation, and monitoring infrastructure for autonomous agents in production.
• Design systems for durable workers, serverless compute, remote browsers, stateful workflows, and other agent execution models.
• Build developer tooling and internal AI platforms that support engineering and non-engineering workflow automation.
• Improve CI/CD, testing, deployment, developer environments, security, reliability, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Strong background in platform or infrastructure engineering and strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience designing scalable architectures and operating distributed systems, developer platforms, internal tooling, or compute infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, serverless architectures, CI/CD, end-to-end testing, and production deployment strategies.
• Experience deploying, scaling, profiling, and operating AI agents or LLM-based systems in production.
• Familiarity with long-running execution, durable workers, isolated environments, remote browsers, and stateful workflows.
• Strong judgment across security, reliability, performance, cost, and iteration speed, with high ownership in ambiguous technical domains.
