Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Location: New York

Salary: $200,000–$220,000 base salary, plus equity. Senior and Staff levels offer $240,000 and $284,000 base salary respectively.

What you will do

• Develop, improve, and shape the long-term architecture of the React Native application across iOS and Android.
• Own core feature delivery end to end, from technical design and implementation through release.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to build reliable and scalable mobile experiences.
• Maintain and modernize the existing React Native codebase, focusing on performance, stability, and maintainability.
• Ensure application quality through code reviews, testing, documentation, and release practices.
• Contribute to engineering process improvements and adopt relevant mobile development best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of React Native experience with multiple meaningful production deployments.
• Experience maintaining and scaling existing React Native applications.
• Working knowledge of Swift and/or Kotlin for extending React Native functionality.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, owning projects, and working with high-performing engineering teams.
• Knowledge of mobile performance optimization, security, testing, release management, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs and decisions.
