Customer Engineer III - (C3) (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Boise, ID, United States; on-site work requirements apply. Travel is required for 20% of the time, and relocation is eligible.

Salary: $37.00–$51.20 per hour

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Apply diagnostic techniques and digital analytics to assess equipment issues and support troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with customers and senior field service engineers on process flows, requirements, roadmaps, and business challenges.
• Communicate directly with customers to support reliable equipment operation.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/or thermodynamics.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.
• Ability to meet on-site safety, environmental, cleanroom, and physical requirements, including lifting up to 35 lbs. and using personal protective equipment.
