Salary: $31.21–$45.48 per hour.

What you will do
- Plan and execute equipment upgrades, hardware modifications, installations, configuration changes, and post-installation validation.
- Lead vacuum-system maintenance, troubleshooting, reconfiguration projects, and performance optimization for sputter deposition equipment.
- Schedule, execute, document, and report preventive maintenance activities and equipment readiness.
- Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and operators to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and process performance while maintaining clear daily pass-down reports.
- Follow cleanroom protocols, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Experience with high- and ultra-high-vacuum principles, leak detection, and gas-flow dynamics.
- Knowledge of Pirani, cold-cathode, and ion gauges, including calibration and data interpretation.
- Strong electrical fundamentals, power-supply troubleshooting skills, PLC interface knowledge, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude, equipment assembly and maintenance experience, and the ability to read engineering drawings and understand system layouts.
- Ability to work onsite in Fremont, United States, Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Nice to have
- Experience with rotary-vane, scroll, turbomolecular, or cryogenic pumps and helium leak testing.
- Knowledge of sputter deposition systems and R&D or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with automation, material transport systems, BOMs, PLM, ECNs, and engineering change control.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for analysis, scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
