Senior Demand Planner (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. U.S. ITAR eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $109,000–$137,000 per year, plus equity and potential performance bonuses.

What you will do

• Own material planning and inventory management for assigned product lines across production, NPI, engineering builds, and customer demand.
• Analyze demand, inventory, supplier lead times, and production schedules to create forecasts, identify shortages, and manage supply commitments.
• Maintain planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock, reorder points, lot sizing, and planning policies.
• Perform root-cause analysis of material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and planning exceptions, implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain ERP data, including item masters, BOMs, supplier information, and planning parameters, while developing dashboards and reports.
• Lead inventory optimization and planning improvement initiatives and mentor junior planners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain, or inventory management in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP planning systems in complex manufacturing or production environments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Operations teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Startup, high-growth, or NPI manufacturing experience.
• Experience in aerospace, satellite, telecommunications, electronics, or defense.
• Familiarity with PCBAs, electromechanical assemblies, or other complex hardware systems.
• Experience with Manufacturo, SQL, Superset, or other data visualization tools.
• Experience with inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and capacity planning.
