Operations Planner (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Create and maintain executable short- to mid-term production plans balancing demand, capacity, materials, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate production activities across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management.
• Monitor execution, identify risks and bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
• Manage production orders in ERP/MES systems from release through completion, prioritizing and sequencing work to optimize throughput and delivery performance.
• Assess engineering and design changes, coordinate their implementation, and resolve impacts on schedules, processes, inventory, work-in-progress, and production readiness.
• Lead production reviews and support continuous improvement in planning accuracy and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree, technician qualification, apprenticeship, or comparable education in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, capacity management, MRP, inventory management, and shop-floor operations.
• Experience with ERP/MES systems such as SAP and strong data analysis skills, including Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High ownership, organization, adaptability, and a collaborative, hands-on approach.
• Fluent German and English required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace or other high-mix manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of engineering change management, configuration management, or product lifecycle management.
• Experience with scenario planning, production recovery planning, KPI-driven performance management, advanced planning systems, SAP PP, or industry-standard MES solutions.
• APICS/ASCM certifications such as CPIM or CSCP.
