TL;DR
Planner II (Aerospace): Coordinating material planning, production schedules, inventory, and logistics support for defense and aviation programs with an accent on MRP/ERP systems, contractual service levels, and supply-chain execution. Focus on analyzing demand, managing material and labor costs, maintaining compliance with DFAR, MMAS, and AS9100, and resolving production and delivery risks.

What you will do

  • Coordinate material planning, production planning, and contractual logistics support against program and customer requirements.
  • Develop logistics support plans and coordinate maintenance cycles, repairs, spares, sustainment, shipments, and expedited deliveries.
  • Manage inventory, material demand, forecasts, production schedules, purchase requisitions, and manufacturing orders using MRP and ERP systems.
  • Develop performance metrics, extract business-system reports, and support process improvement.
  • Advise program management on hardware status, material availability, production risks, and schedule changes.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, warehouse, program management, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business or a technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain, or a related function.
  • 3–5 years of experience with MRP and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of BOMs, engineering technical data, drawings, specifications, ECNs, and production schedules.
  • Experience with DFAR, MMAS, and AS9100 compliance; aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or simulation experience is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.
