Salary: $137,369.30–$206,053.95 per year

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while fostering innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
• Oversee the planning, design, development, and enhancement of backend software and web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, timelines, and delivery plans.
• Coordinate software updates and releases, ensuring that enhancements meet technical specifications.
• Track development KPIs, promote engineering best practices, and improve product quality and efficiency.
• Monitor technology trends, evaluate external products, and develop proposals for software and capital expenditure improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of coursework and relevant professional experience.
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with C++ and Go programming languages.
• Backend development experience and people management skills.
• Ability to work regular, consistent hours as well as nights, weekends, and variable schedules when necessary.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Chicago, Illinois.
