What you will do

  • Lead the Intercom team, defining the roadmap and strategy to capture new markets.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews to ensure the stack remains scalable.
  • Manage the career growth and performance of high-performing engineers.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions.
  • Work with other engineering leaders to execute goals, priorities, and processes.
  • Contribute to the codebase by writing code or prototyping new features.

Requirements

  • Must be based in San Mateo, CA, United States
  • 2+ years of experience managing, leading, and inspiring engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles focusing on product experiences.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS and a product-first mindset.
  • Working knowledge of at least one server-side framework and one database system.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
