Skilled Maintenance Technician (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Onsite manufacturing plant role with availability required for any shift, overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.

Salary: $35.90/hour starting rate, with a grow-in rate up to $47.95/hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical production equipment and plant facilities.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, and servo drives.
• Write, program, modify, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, CNC machines, robotics, and other electronic equipment.
• Fabricate and machine metal, plastic, and wood components for jigs, fixtures, equipment repairs, work orders, and machine modifications.
• Document completed work and support production, quality, cost, safety, and continuous-improvement goals.

Requirements

• Industrial maintenance or military experience in a skilled craft, or a degree or certificate in industrial maintenance or industrial electrical technology.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Technical knowledge of PLCs, conveyor systems, belt and chain maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, motion and motor control, photo eyes, sensors, relays, power supplies, and 480 V or greater control systems.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
• Employment-based visa or other work-authorization sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Degree, diploma, or certification in electricity or industrial maintenance.
• Current or expired state journeyman electrical license documentation.
• Experience repairing robotics, milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, or CNC machines.
