Senior FPGA Engineer

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $160K–$275K per year, plus equity, discretionary performance bonuses, and stock options.

What you will do

• Architect and implement FPGA networking and DSP blocks for high-rate data from phased-array antennas.
• Design digital systems supporting reliable, high-throughput satellite communication links.
• Lead projects from prototyping and productization through deployment and ongoing operations.
• Define requirements, assess architectural trade-offs, and optimize system performance and resilience.
• Analyze field-test data, debug hardware-software integration issues, and improve deployed designs.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience delivering complex digital hardware designs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar hardware-focused field.
• Strong Verilog and SystemVerilog skills for efficient, synthesizable designs.
• Experience with Python for automation, simulation, and system integration.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA-based DSP or networking and FPGA SoCs.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers for debugging high-speed FPGA designs.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with C++ or Rust for embedded software.
• Experience architecting high-performance PCBA designs with FPGA integration.
