What you will do

  • Design, develop, simulate, and maintain FPGA firmware in Verilog for sensor technologies.
  • Implement signal-processing algorithms such as FIR filters, FFT, burst control, and arctangent calculations based on software models.
  • Develop low-level communication interfaces including CAN, BiSS, SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, and application software engineers to define and integrate FPGA requirements.
  • Build Verilog test benches and validate performance using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Support code reviews, documentation, manufacturing, field debugging, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of firmware engineering experience focused on Verilog design, development, and testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related advanced degree.
  • Experience with Lattice or Altera FPGAs and implementation of signal processing, including FFT and FIR.
  • Familiarity with digital and analog electronics, schematics, oscilloscopes, and revision control systems such as GitHub.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted code writing and review, Microsoft tools, and Agile or Kanban development practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; occasional travel may be required.
