Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer III Senior

Location: Phoenix, AZ, United States. Travel required approximately 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $96,000–$132,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for a specific customer, including escalations, fleet performance, installations, upgrades, and improvement programs.
• Act as the field escalation point between customers and internal divisions, supporting engineers, technicians, and product support personnel with troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Support alpha and beta site installation, operation, calibration, service, and testing of new hardware, software, and processes.
• Initiate and review engineering change orders and communicate approved fixes to field teams.
• Generate and present system performance data, including MTBF, MTBI, availability, process data, and indirect-waste spending analysis.
• Create, review, and present technical documentation, system upgrade plans, support plans, customer communication entries, and best-known methods.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant technical discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of technical best practices and how the function integrates with other areas.
• Ability to solve complex problems by analyzing information from multiple sources and applying judgment.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive technical information and build consensus.
• Ability to support colleagues with less experience and lead small projects with manageable risks and resources.
• Availability to work in Phoenix, AZ, with approximately 10% travel.
