What you will do

• Support the manufacturing of complex machining, gear, and motor components within the supplier network.
• Conduct part risk assessments and drive mitigation plans with suppliers.
• Review and validate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to communicate design intent and identify manufacturability concerns.
• Lead and participate in DFX/DFMA activities and PFMEA processes.
• Analyze process capability data and drive improvements using AS9145 methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Must be able to work onsite in Torrance, CA.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information (U.S. Person status).
• Strong knowledge of machining processes (turning, milling, grinding) and aerospace materials.
• Expert-level application of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Proven experience with root cause analysis tools and inspection methods.

Nice to have

• Experience with NX and Team Center.
• Knowledge of gear/spline manufacturing and inspection.
• Experience with CMM (Zeiss) inspection methods.
• Familiarity with AS9100 requirements.
