What you will do

• Create and modify mechanical designs for new and existing spacecraft products.
• Formulate conceptual designs and CAD models based on customer and business requirements.
• Evaluate product designs for conformance to engineering principles and quality standards.
• Support drafting, documentation, and configuration management activities.
• Investigate and resolve production issues related to existing designs.
• Design and develop test fixtures for environmental testing.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen due to export-controlled information requirements.
• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ten years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of 3D parametric CAD software (Solidworks, Siemens NX).
• Proficiency in GD&T and drafting per ANSI standards.
• Experience in an engineering or product testing/manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens TeamCenter configuration management.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM) expertise.
• Familiarity with spacecraft design principles and hardware.
• Understanding of product safety documentation and quality processes.
