Technician (Antenna Systems)

What you will do

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies for parabolic and phased-array antenna systems.
• Integrate subassemblies into complete ground-based satellite communication antennas.
• Perform mechanical alignment, fastening, structural integration, and basic fit and functional checks.
• Follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and build documentation.
• Support prototype builds and iterative hardware development.
• Document build steps, issues, and deviations while maintaining organized workspaces, tools, and inventory.

Requirements

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through hands-on projects, shop work, robotics, automotive work, or similar experience.
• Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings or assembly instructions.
• Experience using common hand tools and shop equipment.
• Comfort working with precision components and small mechanical assemblies.
• Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Technical training, trade school, community college coursework, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with torque tools, fasteners, adhesives, cable routing, or prototyping equipment.
• Basic understanding of RF hardware or antenna systems.
