Service Manager

Location: Syracuse, New York 13211; must be physically located in the United States while performing this job. The role requires extensive local travel.

Salary: $57,733–$96,220 per year, plus medical, dental, vision insurance and company-matching 401(k).

What you will do

• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop lawn care specialists, technicians, and trainees.
• Recruit, interview, select, evaluate, and provide performance feedback to service personnel.
• Plan and deliver onboarding and ongoing training in customer service, technical skills, safety, and procedures.
• Monitor service quality, customer satisfaction, retention, complaints, and cancellations.
• Prepare schedules, assign duties, coordinate information between customers and field technicians, and manage workflow.
• Prepare operational reports, conduct management meetings, and maintain licensing and Department of Transportation inspection and driver qualification files.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a business-related discipline plus at least two years of related lawn, horticulture, agronomy, or lawn care services experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of supervisory management experience.
• Valid permanent driver’s license from the state of residence and current liability auto insurance.
• Must be at least 21 years old by the date of hire and physically located in the United States.
• Fluent spoken, written, and read English is required.
• Leadership, communication, time management, service industry, sales planning, business process analysis, and Microsoft Office skills.
