Manager, Engineering - Originations

Location: Based in Plano, Texas, United States. Applicants must already have the right to work in the United States and must not require current or future immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead feature and service development from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant Java services and APIs for dealer and consumer-facing workflows.
• Own feature-level architecture for PreQual, Pricing, Incentives, and Funding capabilities.
• Coordinate functional, integration, and performance testing, deployment, and production readiness.
• Provide technical guidance on engineering practices, code quality, resiliency, and operational discipline.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to hiring, and collaborate with Product and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of production features or services.
• Hands-on experience building Java-based services with modern frameworks.
• Experience with REST, GraphQL, event-driven APIs, AWS ECS, Fargate, serverless components, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting dealer-centric platforms, high-availability customer-facing systems, and functional, integration, and performance testing.
• Must have United States work authorization without requiring hirify.global immigration support or sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Automotive or financial services experience, especially with dealer or origination platforms.
• Frontend exposure to React, Next.js, or Vue.
• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, or event-driven pricing, incentives, or credit workflows.
• Experience combining hands-on development with people leadership.
