Global Product Support (GPS) Engineer III Senior

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; travel required up to 20% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Develop service procedures, Best Known Methods, troubleshooting guides, technical manuals, Customer Engineering Notices, and Internal Service Bulletins for new products.
• Participate in or lead first-chamber build and testing in the applications laboratory and support new-product final testing with Manufacturing.
• Investigate product and chamber issues with Engineering and conduct or facilitate failure analysis.
• Partner with Quality & Reliability on top field issues and participate in or lead CAPA activities.
• Collect process and qualification data, identify required spare parts, and coordinate stocking with AGS.
• Develop initial training packages and train Customer Engineers, Process Engineers, and Technical Product Support personnel before product shipments.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how the function integrates with other areas of the business.
• Ability to solve complex problems by analyzing information from multiple sources and applying sound judgment.
• Ability to act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and lead small projects.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus across teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
