Manager – IC Sustaining Product Engineering (Semiconductors)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite product engineering role.

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 annual base salary for California residents.

What you will do

• Support the transition of new integrated-circuit products into mass production.
• Manage product changes, cost-reduction programs, and fab, assembly, and test-site transfers.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for customer complaints and lead 8D problem-solving teams.
• Monitor and improve quality and yield at fab and backend manufacturing sites.
• Perform disposition and root-cause analysis for non-conforming materials.
• Coordinate with quality, reliability, design, product, test, assembly, foundry, sales, marketing, and applications teams while ensuring manufacturability of new releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in IC product engineering.
• Knowledge of semiconductor packaging, device physics, digital and analog circuit theory, reliability testing, electrical and thermal characterization, failure analysis, wafer fabrication, assembly flows, wafer sort, and final test operations.
• Experience with ISO, AEC, JEDEC, 8D, DFMEA, DFT, DFM, DOE, PAT, SPC, GRR, and JMP statistical tools.
• Experience with ETS364/88/800 Eagle Tester, ASL1K, or similar open-architecture test platforms.
• Hands-on experience characterizing and testing semiconductor devices and using laboratory bench equipment.

Nice to have

• MOSFET experience.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
