What you will do

• Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and communicate demand signals to suppliers.
• Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables across buyers, planners, production control, and engineering.
• Create, release, and update materials strategies for new projects and execute commercialization transition plans.
• Support supplier selection, sourcing, price and delivery negotiations, risk assessments, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Manage materials change control, cost objectives, key process indicators, total landed cost targets, and quality issue resolution.
• Identify critical and long-lead parts, develop supplier and commodity road maps, and support should-cost and value analysis.

Requirements

• Deep or broad expertise in a specialized materials or related discipline.
• Experience interpreting business challenges and recommending improvements to products, processes, or services.
• Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate resources, risks, and complexity.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to lead others through complex issues.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
• Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.
