Senior Manager, Project Engineering (Semiconductor)

Location: Irvine, California, United States. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; work visa sponsorship is not available. Travel may be required domestically and internationally, estimated at less than 10%.

Salary: $170,000–$205,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional Product Development Process programs and projects with internal, external, and customer stakeholders.
• Deliver projects against scope, schedule, cost, resources, and quality objectives.
• Create and manage project master plans and schedules throughout initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
• Gather and analyze requirements for product development and project management planning.
• Anticipate execution risks, identify problems, and implement solutions.
• Improve project and portfolio management methodologies, governance, KPIs, dashboards, and supporting technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Physics; other technical degrees may be considered based on experience.
• 10+ years of program or project management experience in a technical environment such as hardware product development, manufacturing, or R&D.
• Technical expertise in capital equipment, systems, or modules product development, ideally involving semiconductor, laser, or optics technology.
• Expertise with project management tools such as MS Project, OnePlan, Jira, or Planview.
• Experience leading diverse, globally distributed teams and managing multidisciplinary work.
• Strong project controls, schedule planning, resource allocation, critical path analysis, conflict resolution, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Formal project management training or program management certification from PMI, IPMA, or an equivalent organization.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, enterprise resource planning, and product lifecycle management systems.
• Previous customer interaction experience.
