Manager, Staff Software Engineering (Commercial Insurance)

What you will do

• Build and manage a team of engineers delivering commercial insurance products.
• Lead technical roadmap execution to increase product delivery velocity and unlock new engineering capabilities.
• Build and improve high-performance web and mobile applications and platforms with generative AI capabilities.
• Enhance application performance, user experience, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
• Drive engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and efficient test automation.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including software development lifecycle best practices.
• 5+ years of experience in large-scale, mission-critical environments and 5+ years supervising technical personnel.
• Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers and delivering digital products at scale.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Fluency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD, application monitoring, performance assessment, project and work-item management tools, and automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
