Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid or remote; offices in New York City and San Francisco

Salary: $241,500–$284,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead 4+ engineers across one or more engineering teams.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and operations to execute R&D strategy and solve problems impacting homeowners.
• Build, develop, mentor, and empower high-performing engineering teams.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through coding, architecture design, and engineering guidance.
• Define processes and drive continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with engineering leaders to shape company-wide engineering culture and direction.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building and empowering long-lasting engineering teams.
• Experience in highly complex and technical environments.
• Experience in fast-paced and ambiguous startup environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to drive business outcomes through effective resource planning and technical leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Tech Lead or in engineering management.
