Development Director (Real Estate Development)

Location: Frisco, TX, USA. Travel is required for this role.

What you will do

• Take development projects from concept through acquisition, design, permitting, construction, and completion.
• Evaluate sites and recommend selections based on business needs, costs, construction objectives, and profit goals.
• Lead coordination with internal departments, government authorities, and project stakeholders to achieve approvals and milestones.
• Oversee entitlement, design, construction, and scheduling processes across multiple complex projects.
• Develop feasibility models, capital cost budgets, pro forma return measurements, and valuation analyses.
• Prepare site investigation, cost-at-completion, and project status reports while maintaining project files.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration or Civil Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience developing multiple properties or working in retail chain development.
• Experience leading teams and underwriting and valuing development opportunities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic planning, project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to assess and mitigate risks across transactions, entitlements, and development processes.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions or current or future sponsorship.
