Technical Writer (DITA XML)

What you will do

• Author technical content in DITA XML using topics, markup elements, attributes, maps, and conditions.
• Customize DITA transformations and the appearance of generated output formats.
• Independently plan and deliver technical writing projects, including authoring, reviews, estimates, milestones, validation, testing, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure documentation meets requirements for technical accuracy, quality, reliability, and schedule.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and mechanical and electrical designers to create accurate product and service illustrations.
• Work with European- and Asia-based teams and support multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.

Requirements

• Fluent English in verbal and written communication.
• University degree and preferably experience in DITA XML technical writing, content editing, or a similar role.
• Proficiency with Oxygen Editor, SDL Tridion Docs, Illustrator, Inkscape, Notepad++, MS Paint, Acrobat Pro DC, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, self-management, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Availability for up to 20% international travel.
