TL;DR
Staff Content Strategist/Technical Writer (Cybersecurity): Creating multimedia product content, in-app guidance, videos, infographics, and technical documentation for networking and security products with an accent on translating complex engineering concepts into task-oriented customer experiences. Focus on testing installation and administration procedures, synchronizing content with cloud releases, and building context-sensitive help for advanced technical users.

Location: On-site at the Sunnyvale, United States office. This role supports FedRAMP-related responsibilities and must be filled by a U.S. citizen.

Salary: $148,000–$178,000 per year

What you will do

  • Own the content journey for new and existing product lines across technical documentation, in-app help, videos, infographics, and interactive learning journeys.
  • Translate weekly cloud releases into technical guides, release notes, and “What’s New” content synchronized with feature launches.
  • Create, test, and deploy context-sensitive help, walkthroughs, tooltips, and onboarding experiences using Pendo or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts, Engineering, Product Management, UX, Support, and Professional Services to capture field-tested practices.
  • Use jobs-to-be-done methods to create task-oriented documentation and multimedia content that solves customer problems.
  • Test installation and administration procedures directly in the product and maintain high documentation quality.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of technical writing experience.
  • BA/BS in Technical Communications, English, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
  • U.S. citizenship required for FedRAMP-related responsibilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to technical and business audiences.
  • 1–2 years of experience with Paligo or another CMS.
  • Experience with DITA/XML, Git, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and network security technologies.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in startup, high-growth, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience creating videos, infographics, interactive learning journeys, or SEO-optimized content.
