Design & Construction Project Lead

Location: Oakland, California, United States

Salary: $166,500–$225,000 annual base pay, with potential bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of workplace capital projects, including office refreshes, renovations, tenant improvements, and build-outs.
• Define project scope, budgets, schedules, requirements, and delivery plans during front-end planning.
• Manage the full design and construction lifecycle from initiation and design through construction, fit-out, occupancy, and closeout.
• Oversee external project managers, architects, design consultants, contractors, vendors, and other service providers.
• Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, procurement lead times, schedules, and project status reports.
• Coordinate Workplace Services, Security, Technology, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing, Space Planning, Real Estate, and other stakeholders while managing scope trade-offs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in design, construction, and/or project management, including tenant improvements and major capital projects.
• Experience leading multiple project teams and delivering capital projects end to end.
• Expertise in corporate office design and delivery, including project development, design, construction, fit-out, and closeout.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Procore, Coupa, Oracle, and construction management tools.

Nice to have

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
• Experience with corporate technology office campuses.
• Willingness to learn and use AI-driven tools.
