Field Support Engineer (Security Scanners)

Location: Columbia, Maryland, USA; ideally based in the DC corridor. Candidates must reside in the US, hold US citizenship, and be able to obtain a US Public Trust clearance. The role requires 50–70% travel, including international travel to Munich, Germany, and provides onsite support across the US and Canada.

Total compensation: $89,000–$119,000 annually, including base salary, variable pay when applicable, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support QPS millimeter wave body scanner products with the security scanner sales team across the US and Canada.
• Perform site surveys to prepare QPS system deliveries and installations.
• Support airport and security checkpoint demonstrations, installations, trade shows, and seminars.
• Develop and present local seminars and customer training sessions.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support while working independently, with the team, and directly with customers.

Requirements

• BSEE degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience.
• RF/uW background preferred.
• Experience supporting aviation security products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer interface, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
• Must reside in the US, be a US citizen, and be able to obtain a US Public Trust clearance.
• Ability to travel 50–70%, including international travel to Munich, Germany.
