RF & Antenna Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. The role requires eligibility under U.S. ITAR regulations and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 per year, plus equity and potential performance bonuses.

What you will do

• Support RF and antenna measurements, including gain, radiation patterns, system sensitivity, and RF performance metrics.
• Analyze antenna patterns, G/T, EIRP, link margin, and other system performance data.
• Build Python or MATLAB tools for RF data analysis, modeling, and measurement processing.
• Assist with RF system integration, troubleshooting, hardware experimentation, and validation across hardware and software interfaces.
• Set up and operate vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and other RF measurement equipment.
• Develop repeatable RF test methodologies, calibration procedures, measurement automation, and documentation for the transition from prototype to production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong fundamentals in electromagnetics, RF systems, and antenna theory.
• Experience with RF measurement equipment through coursework, laboratory work, internships, or research.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for data analysis, modeling, or measurement processing.
• Ability to analyze RF measurement data and system performance metrics.
• Must be eligible under U.S. ITAR requirements and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with HFSS, CST, or FEKO electromagnetic simulation tools.
• Experience with antenna measurements, radiation pattern characterization, or antenna ranges.
• Familiarity with gain, noise figure, EIRP, G/T, satellite communications, or RF link analysis.
• Experience supporting RF hardware testing, integration, or validation.
