Linux Device Management Engineer

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Design and scale Linux device management systems for engineering, robotics, manufacturing, and operational environments.
• Build secure, automated, and reliable Linux fleet management solutions across development and production environments.
• Develop provisioning, patch management, compliance, monitoring, and configuration-standardization workflows.
• Improve endpoint security and operational readiness in partnership with Security, IT, Robotics, and Infrastructure teams.
• Reduce manual operations through automation tooling, self-service workflows, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering, device management, infrastructure engineering, or related technical fields.
• Deep expertise administering Linux endpoints and infrastructure at enterprise or production scale.
• Strong automation and scripting skills with Python, Bash, or equivalent languages.
• Experience with provisioning, endpoint management, configuration management, and orchestration platforms such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
• Strong knowledge of endpoint security, patch management, compliance, systems hardening, and distributed-systems troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, manufacturing, operational technology, or hardware engineering environments.
• Familiarity with EDR, identity management, and device trust frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, developer infrastructure, or Kubernetes.
• Exposure to zero-trust security principles and infrastructure compliance frameworks.
• Experience in high-growth startup environments.
