Applications and Integration Specialist (SCADA)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; 25% travel to hirify.global generation plants and special integration projects.

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise in power plant performance monitoring and control-system data integration using EtaPRO and SCADA environments.
• Work with OPC, DNP3, and Modbus communications to maintain secure, standardized, and highly available monitoring connectivity.
• Interpret dissolved gas analysis results and integrate transformer diagnostic insights into EtaPRO for asset health monitoring and anomaly detection.
• Perform performance diagnostics, condition assessments, KPI reconciliation, and data validation to support predictive maintenance and regulatory reporting.
• Define analytics and KPI requirements, validate data sources, and support operational visualization through platforms such as Qlik Sense and SAS.
• Troubleshoot signal quality, communications, and historian alignment issues while authoring technical guidance and training engineering and O&M users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting power plant operations, power system analysis, EtaPRO performance monitoring, SCADA data validation, and operational analytics.
• At least 5 years of experience using EtaPRO for generation-asset monitoring, diagnostics, and performance analysis.
• At least 5 years of experience with OPC, DNP3, and Modbus in power generation and industrial OT environments.
• At least 4 years of experience with industrial-control-system cybersecurity, regulatory and internal performance reporting, KPI reconciliation, and SCADA troubleshooting.
