Senior Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems and high-performance Java applications.
• Define product solutions and reusable application components from business and technology perspectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Lead architecture and design sessions, code reviews, and engineering quality initiatives.
• Use Azure tooling and services for development, deployment, operations, and real-time collaboration.
• Mentor engineers, share best practices, and improve processes across teams.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software development experience with Java frameworks, including J2EE and web containers.
• At least 3 years of experience with architecture and system design, plus 3 years with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• Advanced programming experience in at least two modern languages, including Java, C++, Python, or C#, with object-oriented design.
• Experience with microservices architecture, extensible REST APIs, reliability, scalability, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
• Advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting, monitoring, security protocols, developer tooling, data structures, and algorithms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience. hirify.global will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of experience with open-source frameworks.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
