Senior Engineer (AWS & Java)

What you will do

• Own critical services and technical components, maintaining quality, security, performance, and reliability.
• Define testing strategies and embed automation, TDD, and fast feedback loops.
• Improve observability through monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerting.
• Investigate complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes.
• Drive secure engineering, architecture standards, operational improvements, and delivery quality.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical outcomes across teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience developing and supporting enterprise applications with Java or other JVM-based languages.
• Expertise in AWS, cloud-native technologies, serverless architectures, and containerised applications.
• Experience with automated testing, TDD, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of secure software development, web security, and API security principles.
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in London.
