Lead Construction Superintendent

Location: Asheville, North Carolina, United States. On-site commercial construction environment.

What you will do

• Lead on-site construction activities from project startup through completion.
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, schedules, daily field operations, and site inspections.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, design teams, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, project documents, and short-interval production schedules.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve field issues, control project costs, and maintain client and subcontractor relationships.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Experience with commercial construction management, project scheduling, site supervision, quality control, and subcontractor management.
• Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects is highly preferred.
• Strong safety and client relationship management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, K-12, or higher education construction.
• Experience with Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMAR) projects.
