Preconstruction Manager

Location: Reno, Nevada; on-site commercial construction environment

What you will do

• Lead preconstruction activities from conceptual budgeting through project handoff.
• Develop conceptual budgets, detailed cost estimates, GMP proposals, contract exhibits, and pricing documentation.
• Perform value engineering, constructability reviews, feasibility assessments, and project cost analysis.
• Prepare bid packages, trade scopes, procurement documents, and coordinate logistics, sequencing, and scheduling strategies.
• Solicit, review, level, and evaluate subcontractor bids while maintaining scope sheets, risk logs, contingencies, and project budgets.
• Coordinate project transition to operations and construction teams, support client presentations, and mentor junior preconstruction staff.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or commercial construction project management; 6+ years preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience developing conceptual budgets, estimates, and GMP proposals.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, trade practices, construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, planning, and deadline-management skills.
• Experience with Bluebeam or similar plan review software, Microsoft Office, and preferably Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
