Actuarial Senior Associate, Excess Casualty Pricing - REMOTE (P&C actuarial pricing): Conducting complex actuarial analyses and developing data-driven recommendations for excess casualty pricing with an accent on actuarial methodologies, predictive modeling, and rigorous documentation. Location: Fully remote within any of the lower 48 U.S. states

Salary: $118,000–$178,000 annual expected starting range; $118,000–$222,000 national range

What you will do

  • Act as a technical expert in actuarial methodologies and conduct complex analyses using appropriate data sources, assumptions, and professional judgment.
  • Develop recommendations and data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Document actuarial models, assumptions, methods, data sources, and analytical considerations.
  • Prepare and present findings for technical and non-technical audiences, including senior actuarial leadership, regulators, auditors, and external vendors.
  • Develop cross-functional work plans, lead peer reviews, and ensure accurate, high-quality deliverables.
  • Build business relationships, lead onboarding and training, and evaluate software packages and predictive modeling approaches.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
  • At least five years of actuarial experience; six or more years is generally expected.
  • Generally attained ACAS certification and working toward FCAS or recently attained FCAS.
  • Detailed knowledge of actuarial business functions, statistical analysis, actuarial models, software, and databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, analytical software, and programming languages, with strong independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be eligible to work remotely from within the lower 48 U.S. states.
