What you will do

• Lead architecture definition, design, integration, testing, and qualification of semiconductor equipment platforms and optical subsystems.
• Design and integrate precision mechanical, opto-mechanical, optical, gas-delivery, motion-control, sensor, and environmental-control assemblies.
• Define system specifications aligned with throughput, yield, uptime, reliability, and cost-of-ownership targets.
• Translate semiconductor process requirements into mechanical, electrical, control, optomechanical, and optical system designs with cross-functional teams.
• Lead architecture trade-offs, design reviews, supplier qualification, validation, reliability testing, and design-for-manufacturability initiatives.
• Support system integration, tool bring-up, field troubleshooting, and customer engineering teams both onsite and remotely; travel is approximately 10%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience designing, integrating, and testing semiconductor equipment platforms and systems.
• Experience with high-precision optical processing, metrology, or inspection equipment.
• Ability to work across mechanical, electrical, optics, physics, process engineering, algorithms, electronics, and embedded software disciplines.
• Experience with system specifications, architecture definition, integration, testing, calibration, verification, and reliability validation.
