Senior Applications Engineer (Semiconductor Lithography)

Location: Austin, Texas, US; primarily onsite at hirify.global and customer locations. The role may transition to a future high-volume manufacturing site and requires up to approximately 30% travel, with potentially higher travel during onboarding and startup. Training may include Taiwan and the Netherlands. Some work takes place in a cleanroom.

Salary: $106,000–$145,750 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Lead technical execution for an assigned platform or project area, including YieldStar applications, control loops, and metrology optimization.
• Own workstreams for new node introduction, pilot-line execution, tool qualification, and ramp-to-volume readiness.
• Act as the technical interface between hirify.global and the customer on on-product performance topics.
• Design experiments, analyze large scanner and metrology datasets, and identify performance drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Optimize YieldStar and scanner performance through data-driven insights and control strategies.
• Prepare technical presentations, influence product improvements, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in IC manufacturing, lithography, metrology, or process technology.
• Experience with NPI, ramp, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Strong data analysis and programming experience with Python, MATLAB, R, or JMP.
• Ability to lead technical workstreams independently and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations before starting work.
