Sr. Engineer, SEM Systems Engineering

Location: San Jose, California, US. The position is onsite with a flexible workplace arrangement allowing remote work up to two days per week. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.

Base annual salary: $170,800–$234,850.

What you will do

• Take technical ownership of multiple complex SEM system designs from concept through integration and delivery.
• Identify, analyze, document, and manage requirements with traceability and verification criteria.
• Conduct research and feasibility studies, evaluate trade-offs, and develop engineering solutions.
• Define specifications, high-level designs, interfaces, and technical review materials.
• Coordinate system integration, configuration management, dependencies, risks, and project execution.
• Define and execute validation and test approaches, improve procedures, and ensure qualification evidence supports release readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 8+ years of substantial general work experience.
• Experience with requirements, interfaces, technical specifications, engineering solution development, and system integration.
• Ability to plan and execute verification and validation and maintain configuration and requirements traceability.
• Ability to lead complex technical scope, coordinate cross-functional work, manage uncertainty, and drive results.
• Onsite presence in San Jose is required; remote work is available for up to two days per week.

Nice to have

• MSc or PhD in a relevant technical field.
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional teams.
