Principal System Validation Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead system- and rack-level validation planning for boards, switches, optics, and rack-scale platforms.
• Define validation requirements, test methodologies, coverage, pass/fail criteria, and risk assessments.
• Execute electrical, thermal, functional, and performance characterization across integrated platform solutions.
• Make validation tradeoff decisions across hardware, software, mechanical, thermal, and operational domains.
• Collaborate with hardware design, signal and power integrity, firmware, systems engineering, ODMs, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
• Qualify systems through installation, operational, and performance testing while maintaining traceability, audit trails, change records, and final validation reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 10–15 years of experience, or a master’s degree and/or PhD with 5–10 years of experience.
• Experience with microprocessor, interconnect, memory, networking, and storage architectures.
• Strong understanding of system and rack-level architecture, scale-up and scale-out fabrics, interconnects, and data center power and thermal constraints.
• Experience validating switches, boards, and optics in rack-scale solutions, plus familiarity with Ethernet, PCIe, and advanced interconnect technologies.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python or C for test automation, data analysis, and validation tooling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
