Senior Quality Engineer (Performance and Analytics)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY; Reno, NV; or San Ramon, CA. Must be work authorized in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $113,500–$141,500, or $124,500–$156,000 in select locations including the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area.

What you will do

• Validate performance and analytics workflows covering portfolio performance, attribution, benchmarks, and reporting.
• Translate business requirements into reliable client experiences with product managers, engineers, and domain experts.
• Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design reviews through production validation.
• Develop test strategies focused on workflow accuracy, financial data integrity, and end-user confidence.
• Perform exploratory testing, investigate customer issues and production defects, and identify root causes.
• Help build automated testing solutions and improve testability, quality practices, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, software testing, or a related role validating complex SaaS applications.
• Practical experience validating TWR, Brinson Attribution, benchmark analysis, and Profit & Loss calculations in investment management platforms.
• Experience testing business-critical workflows where accuracy, transparency, and data integrity are essential.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, automated testing frameworks, and cloud-native platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or ChatGPT, plus strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Buy-side technology experience.
• Experience validating ETL pipelines or large-scale financial data workflows.
• Experience with SQL and analytical databases such as OLAP or columnar systems.
• Experience testing data-intensive analytics or reporting platforms.
