Senior Manager, Quality Engineering (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; the role supports a globally distributed team.

Salary: $165,000–$230,000 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end QA strategy across the platform and customer-facing delivery.
• Lead a globally distributed QA organization covering web, mobile, automated, manual, and exploratory testing.
• Define quality governance, test standards, coverage metrics, release criteria, and audit-ready evidence for regulated financial institutions.
• Own quality incident response, including triage, root-cause analysis, prevention, and post-incident communication.
• Partner with Engineering to improve automation, CI/CD release gates, and regression coverage for a high-throughput platform.
• Support UAT, structured acceptance testing, and integration validation for bank and enterprise deployments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software quality, including 2+ years managing QA or Quality Engineering teams.
• Experience owning quality in banking, payments, fintech, or another regulated domain.
• Knowledge of audit requirements, UAT, documented test governance, quality KPIs, and coverage measurement.
• Hands-on experience building test automation with Cypress or similar tools.
• Experience with CI/CD gating, regression testing, and a balanced approach to automated, manual, and exploratory testing.
• Experience building and managing high-performing distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
