Senior Project Manager, AI Biology & Translation (AI Biology)

Location: South San Francisco, California, United States; onsite presence on the South San Francisco campus is expected at least 3 days per week. Relocation benefits are not available.

Salary: $111,800–$207,600 per year, based on the primary California location. A discretionary annual bonus may also be available.

What you will do

• Coordinate cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives across AI Biology & Translation.
• Align activities, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across scientific, operational, and functional workstreams.
• Develop and maintain project plans, status updates, dashboards, meeting materials, and communication tools.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, operational reviews, and working sessions.
• Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items while communicating progress and escalation needs.
• Help establish project management practices, operational rhythms, and coordination approaches across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects, programs, or operational initiatives.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences, or a related environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain momentum in collaborative environments.
• Experience with project planning, milestone tracking, operational coordination, and executive communications using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Asana, Airtable, Microsoft Suite, or Google Workspace.
