Project Manager - Federal (Robotics)

Location: Fully onsite at the headquarters in Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year, plus benefits and equity

What you will do

• Drive strategic execution across multi-project portfolios, including milestones, budgets, and resourcing.
• Coordinate engineering, field operations, product, business, and customer success teams for robot deployment programs.
• Manage scope, dependencies, risks, timelines, performance metrics, financial reporting, and ROI tracking.
• Coordinate go-to-market readiness while ensuring deployment programs meet performance, safety, and scalability requirements.
• Prepare executive updates, board materials, investor presentations, and other strategic communications.
• Identify technical, operational, and commercial blockers and drive their resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field.
• At least two years of experience in project coordination, program support, or operations within a technical organization.
• Ability to translate high-level requirements into structured task breakdowns and timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including coordination across engineering teams.
• Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Jira, Asana, or Monday.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance or export control authorization required for defense-related programs, and U.S. Person eligibility.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomy, aerospace, defense engineering, or rugged ground autonomy programs.
• Familiarity with government contracting structures such as SBIR, SOWs, or deliverable-based contracts.
• Experience defining acceptance criteria and milestones with technical leads.
• Experience in a fast-growing startup, ITAR/EAR compliance, or projects involving DoD stakeholders.
• Technical master’s degree or PMP certification.
