TL;DR
Field Service Engineer II (Medical Devices): Installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting Advanced Instruments equipment at customer sites and remotely with an accent on electromechanical diagnostics, pharmaceutical IQOQ/OQ, clinical validations, and customer support. Focus on managing field service activities across an assigned territory, training junior engineers, maintaining calibrated tools, and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and application-level issues.

Location: Onsite in the RTP Area 5 days per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Travel by air and ground transportation is required as needed.

Salary: $38.46–$43.27 per hour

What you will do

  • Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot Advanced Instruments equipment onsite and remotely.
  • Complete pharmaceutical IQOQ, annual OQ, clinical validations, preventive maintenance, and field modifications.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, electronic, and application-level issues.
  • Schedule installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, and other field events while managing customer communications and follow-up.
  • Maintain service records, reports, tools, test equipment, calibration status, and car-stock inventory.
  • Provide technical support and field training for junior and other Field Service Engineers, escalating service delivery issues when needed.

Requirements

  • At least three years of work experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic equipment and responding to customer concerns.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, and Teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, time-management, decision-making, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for job responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel, work independently in changing customer-site environments, and lift or transport equipment and materials weighing up to approximately 25–50 pounds.
